Insurance is kicking Scott out on next Wednesday the 23rd! Yay for insurance companies.
The plan is:
~Home evaluation in the morning. This will help us determine what we need to do to get the house ready for Scott.
~All his remaining rehabs will be in focus to get him ready for being in our home.
~ At home he will be considered in-home-rehab, meaning therapists will come to the house 2-3 times a week to help him continue to progress.
~ Then he moves to out-patient rehab where he will come here 3 times a week, decreasing as he gets better.
~ And eventually life back to normal:)

ReplyDeleteThat is great news! Keep up the great work and positive attitude.
ReplyDeleteInsurnace company is kicking Scott out??? Do you mean he is well enough to leave or the Insurance company is tired of paying for him to be there???
ReplyDeleteHome at long last! Great place to get well.
ReplyDeleteWell it's kind of both...Ins. says he's where a normal stroke patient is for releasing, (bleed in brain: stroke)rehab says he's not close enough to pre-injury function. Normal stroke patients are much older than Scott. So the pre-injury life style is much differant than his was. He is still VERY far from pre-injury life style. The good thing is Scott is very EXCITED to come home, which will help in his recovery. And well...he has me to be his nurse 24hr a day until he doens't need me right there all the time. We have been very lucky I have been and can still be with him as much as he needs to get better faster!
ReplyDeleteAll that for.. yeah it really was Insuance would not athorize what the rehab clinic felt was best for him. hehee I like to tell it like it is :)
